Spring Break Plans - Start Planning
Women’s History Month
Hey Locals! 👋🏽
I don’t know about you but I am sick of all of this snow lately…the good news is this weekend looks like it will be warming up a bit.
Spring break season is also creeping up, so consider this your friendly reminder to start thinking about plans now instead of panic-Googling later 😅
👉🏽 Before we get into weekend plans…
March 1 kicks off Women’s History Month — and supporting doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes it’s as simple as where you spend, who you highlight, or what stories you choose to engage with.
Here are a 5 easy ways to participate this month ↓=
1. Spend Intentionally
Buy from a woman-owned business this month - Rewax & Unwind Candle making in Owings Mills, MD or GameOn Bar+Cade which has 3 locations in Maryland & 1 in DC or make a journal at Drama MaMa Bookshop
Dine at a woman-owned restaurant. (Freakin Sweet Jar in Annapolis or Empanada Lady in Baltimore)
Leave a 5-star review for a woman entrepreneur you love.
2. Visit a museum or event about Women’s History
Visit the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum in DC in person or online exhibits
Stay tuned to this newsletter for some women’s events coming up
📚 3. Read (or Watch) Women’s Stories
Read one book by a woman author.
Watch a documentary about women’s history.
Start with titles like Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly or the film adaptation Hidden Figures.
🤝 4. Mentor or Support
Offer a coffee chat to a young woman in your field.
Make a meaningful introduction that expands someone’s network.
Recommend a woman for a speaking opportunity, promotion, or project.
💖 5. Donate or Volunteer
Support organizations such as:
House of Ruth in Baltimore
My Sister’s Place Women’s Center - Baltimore

CIAA Weekend is Here
CIAA weekend is officially here — which means Baltimore is about to be BUSY.
If you’re going downtown, expect crowds, traffic, and a whole lot of energy.
If you’re not going… this might be your sign to stay local or plan around it 😂
But if you are heading out, here’s one spot worth knowing about ↓Hot Event

If you want somewhere to take a breather between CIAA events (or just want a vibe without the chaos), this is a good one.
Courtside Lounge is basically a chill content studio meets lounge space — music, cocktails, photo ops, and somewhere to actually sit down for a second.
Perfect for:
✔️ catching up with friends
✔️ taking content
✔️ resetting before your next event

Spring Break
What are you planning for Spring Break?
Spring break is coming fast — and if you’re anything like me, you’re either:
A) already booked
B) thinking about it
C) pretending you’re not thinking about it 😅
Either way… I dropped a quick recommendation below that surprised us.

Did you know they closed the Cartoon Network Hotel?
They’re remodeling it into the Dutch Wonderland Hotel — which makes sense since it’s right next door. But for spring break, that option is out.
So here’s what I would do instead.
We drove about 3 hours to American Dream Mall — and honestly… it felt like a full vacation in one building.
Hotels nearby were reasonable, there’s something for every age, and yes… your wallet might get tested 😂
But here’s the insider tip:
👉🏽 Go to the waterpark during sunset hours for cheaper tickets
👉🏽 Visit before spring break crowds hit
👉🏽 Use my code below for DreamWorks Waterpark
CODE: WATER26014
Venue: DreamWorks Water Park , all-access passes only. (15% 0FF)
Booking dates: The codes are active through March 1 for bookings between 2/23 - 3/15.
Restrictions: 1 use per guest, $400 per purchase.

💡 Idea of the Week: Window Garden in a Bag 🌱
If your kids are already asking, “When is it going to be warm?” — this is your sign.
This week, start a mini greenhouse on your window and watch it grow by Easter.
It takes 10 minutes.
What You Need:
• Clear sandwich bag
• Paper towel
• A few bean seeds (lima beans work great)
• Water
• Tape
How to Do It:
Wet the paper towel (not dripping, just damp).
Place the bean inside the paper towel.
Put it inside the clear bag.
Tape it to a sunny window.
And now… you wait.
Within a few days, you’ll actually SEE the roots forming through the bag.
It’s like a science experiment + spring countdown in one.By Easter? You should have a little sprout ready to transfer into soil.
