Hey Locals!
It’s so cold outside this week — I honestly wish I could stay inside — but there’s still so much to do, so let’s get out there!
Sidenote: I’d love your help in getting my link clicks up so I know what events you want to see more of. When you see something here that you want to know more about, please click on it so I can see what everyone loves most.

Local News This Week:
Recap: From the poll last week, 60% of you said kid-friendly bars are great as long as it’s for kids, so I guess these new pop-ups are a great idea!
Waymo self-driving cars are coming to Baltimore. They’re testing in the area by manually driving them around first, and soon you’ll see driver-less vehicles hitting potholes all around town.
Kenilworth Shopping Center s bougie, but in a good way! My first time going there, and that J.Crew Factory Outlet had me at 70% off for wool knitwear! It’s right off 695 in Towson and worth a visit during the holidays — especially for the train garden scavenger hunt and that food court pizza.
Be careful out here as it’s 100% flu and strep throat season. Our household was down all last week but this Be careful out here — it’s 100% flu and strep throat season. Our household was down all last week, but this disinfectant machine is a game changer and will help us stay healthy going forward.

Wanting a winter getaway? Go to NYC!
I experienced New York City during the holidays for the first time and it was an amazing day. I took the train from BWI to NYC — it took less than 3 hours, and I only paid $90 for tickets (bought six weeks prior).
We didn’t have many plans, so most things were sold out — like skating at Rockefeller Center or reservations at a rooftop bar — but even without a plan, there was tons to do: walk around the city, hit Macy’s for holiday window displays, visit Bryant Park for viral hot chocolate, and see the Saks Fifth Avenue light show. Walking around was a low-cost day in NYC with lots of fun.
Pro tip: Make reservations for what you want to do as early as possible!

Rockefeller Center Tree
Planned Stop:
Visit the Summit which is an indoor experience of taking in the views of NYC and interactive floors and rooms. (Need to buy at least 24 hours prior)
Walk around the city:
Hit up Macy’s for their window displays, Bryant Park for the famous viral hot chocolate, Time Square is always a vibe and Sak’s 5th Ave store for a light show. Walking around you will see many holiday light displays to take photos with or just enjoy.
Outside of the ticket to the Summit and eating, we didn’t spend any more money so it was a low cost day in NYC with tons to do.
Look for my videos and carousel post coming up soon but I wanted you to be the first to know that you can do this too…even if you drive or ride the bus.

FAMILY IDEA OF THE WEEK — “The $10 Memory Challenge”
Give every kid (and adult!) just $10 and head to:
Five Below
Dollar Tree
A holiday market
A local bookstore
The rule:
Everyone must use their $10 to create a memory for the family — not buy something for themselves. (Perfect for white elephant games just up the price point)
Ideas include:
A board game or puzzle for family night
A snack to add to a hot cocoa bar
A new ornament for the tree
Craft supplies for a DIY project
A funny gift to make everyone laugh
End the night doing whatever they bought — instant family fun and super low effort
