Last week I tried Freakin Sweet Jars and… yeah, it lived up to the name.

They do parfait-style cake jars in so many flavors, but our favorites were the banana pudding, Oreo, and strawberry crunch. The kind of desserts you “just want a bite” of… and then suddenly it’s gone.

It’s also a Black-owned business, which I’m intentionally spotlighting all February.

You’ll find them inside Annapolis Mall, down the hall from Crate & Barrel (near Sbarro). Totally worth the walk.

Working with Uber was a full-circle moment for me, but what really made me proud is that Baltimore is one of the first cities to offer this feature.

If you’re a woman and feel more comfortable riding with a woman driver, you can now select the Women Drivers option directly in the app.

It’s small, but it matters. And it’s nice to see our city leading the way..
