Have you heard about the Amazon Fresh stores? Apparently, they’re closing all 72 locations across the U.S. on February 1st 😳
I actually loved popping into the Silver Spring one, so this announcement caught me off guard—but I guess this is one of those “everything has a season” moments.
Now… let’s talk weather.
They’re calling for snow again this weekend. Less than an inch, but with temps dropping into the single digits, which usually means ice—and likely more time stuck at home with the kids. It was fun the first two days, but at this point… I think they’re ready to go back to school and learn 😅 (please tell me I’m not alone).
If you’re looking for ways to keep their brains engaged while home, we found education.com super helpful. They have free printable worksheets for all grade levels, plus craft projects. We started using them in the mornings just to keep some structure—and honestly, it helped.

On a more fun note… birthday season is loading 🎉
My birthday is February 6th, followed immediately by my daughter on the 9th and my son on the 11th. I guess this is karma because my mom’s birthday was February 3rd—and she used to fake-complain that I stole her birthday weekend. Now that I’m living it? I completely understand 😩😂
So yes—expect high Aquarius energy all month long, because I’m celebrating my favorite holiday of all time: my birthday.

Who knew January is when most parents are signing their kids up for summer camp?
With all this snow, it feels way too early to even think about summer—but if you wait, the good camps will already be full. And nobody wants to be stuck figuring out what to do with the kids all summer long at the last minute 😅
Before kids, I had no idea how much work finding a summer camp would be.
Some end super early (like 3pm), some are way out of budget, and others are just too far to realistically make work. Last summer, I spent hours searching, comparing, closing tabs, opening new ones… it was a lot.
This year? So much easier.
I found Campwing.com, and it honestly made the whole search process quick and painless. I could filter camps by location, age, and type—and even better, they also list spring break camp options if you’re already wondering what to do that week since many kids are off.
If you’re even thinking about summer camp this year, now’s the time to start looking—future you will be grateful.

Old Westminster Winery
This was such a great date night with other couples as we got to laugh, eat and drink in a beautiful outdoor space without being cold.
The food was delicious and for wine drinkers, they had pages and pages of offerings. This was one date experience we won’t forget and perfect for every season.
The DC Auto Show is Here and it’s really fun!
This is one of the best events for all ages as you get to see new car models, test drive cars and they even have cars and bouncy houses for kids. Here for 1 week only so perfect way to stay warm this weekend while being out of the house.
